IONKA is the electropop project of José Manuel Daza, a musician from Seville who fuses 80s synth-pop nostalgia with the digital age. Behind every track there are three people and one studio: creative direction and music production, sound engineering, and mixing and mastering. Influenced by Depeche Mode, New Order and Kraftwerk, everything —composition, production, mixing, mastering and music video— is done in house from start to finish, with technology and artificial intelligence as just another instrument.
Beyond its own records (LPs ION-K1, 1985 and CONSONANCIA), the studio produces for the Andalusian drag and electropop scene: SKORIA, Sean Delito and Dolores Chardonnay, plus collaborations with Manu Rúa and Velázquez.
